I can feel on my head the crown –
Lift up your heads!
You are the Lord’s!
From the very beginning
Of my being.
I want to come before You Lord
I want to dedicate my life
My body, my mind, my heart.
I want to be absorbed
Within Your very being Lord –
For the rest of my life
Wherever I may be
In happiness, in sorrow,
In pain, in my hurt, in joy.
Lord bring me to Your altar
Lord bring me to the Sacrifice
on the altar
Bring me close to You – with
The angels, praising!
Join me with You Lord, with the Church
with Your people united –
In one faith
In one baptism.
In the Lord of Hosts.
Draw us to You Lord
To open the scriptures.
Listen and be nourished
By Your Word
Through the Holy Spirit.
We follow the bidding
Of our father in Rome
Your faithful son, Pope Francis.
I lay all that weighs me down
at Your feet
They are completely taken up
They are no more.
The weight has been taken from us
Thus may we be free to approach the altar
And receive You Lord, with joy, in body + soul.
Stay with me Lord, in my very being.
Throughout this day / this night.
I love You Lord, come to me,
And I lift up my heart.
I’ve received Your forgiveness
and swept this house clean –
To come to the altar
To worship You
To praise You Lord
and receive You
So that we may go out –
To live our lives
Carrying You within us
for others,
Those who we meet
To show them how much
“THE LORD LOVES YOU!”
And my soul too thirsts
for YOU LORD!
Amen
